Corsiglia
Founded in 1896, Corsiglia is a family business in France specialising in the production of high quality candied chestnuts, chestnut preparations and candied fruit for professional use.
Their products are made entirely from natural ingredients, selected according to strict criteria and using traditional methods, thus guaranteeing consistent quality. The chestnuts used are sourced either from Turin or Naples.
Chestnuts as a raw material
Chestnuts are versatile and play an important role in gastronomy. It is particularly popular in cakes, desserts and some main dishes. In addition to fresh chestnuts, which can be baked or cooked, dried chestnut flour and preserved chestnuts (e.g. mashed) are also widely used. One of the best-known chestnut sweets is the ‘marrons glacés’, or candied chestnuts, a speciality of French gastronomy.
